The foreground contains two mini trees, on a mini hill, next to the (normal sized) hotel I was staying in.

The background contains the cloud/fog that settled just above the valley of the mountain.

This was a completely natural occurrence of weather - and it was (and still is) hard to understand the fact that this wasn't set up in some studio, or assembled on Photoshop.
